Why teams switch

Hosting support vs. WP Pirates.

Typical "managed" hosting support

Response
Tier-1 ticket queue, hours to days
Scope
Server-level only — "your code is your problem"
Updates
Auto-updates that break themes silently
Backups
Server snapshots only — restore everything or nothing
Security
Generic WAF rules, no app-level hardening
Reports
Status badges, not actionable summaries

WP Pirates

Response
Same-day pickup, 30-min SLA on Premium
Scope
App + server, end-to-end — your stack, our problem
Updates
Staging-tested before anything touches prod
Backups
Daily off-site, file-level + DB — restore just one page if you want
Security
App-level hardening, custom rules, audit-logged admin
Reports
Plain-English monthly reports a non-developer can read
Andrew Ivanov · Headshot
From the founder

“I started WP Pirates because too many small businesses were getting burned by hosting companies that don’t actually fix problems and freelance dev shops that disappear when you need them. We run your WordPress site like it’s our own — because if it’s down, your business stops.”

Common questions

Questions, answered honestly.

Don't see yours? Just ask.

What does the free site assessment include?
A Lighthouse + Core Web Vitals scan, a plugin and theme vulnerability check, and a top-issues list with what's urgent vs. nice-to-have. Sent as a written report — no obligation, no sales call required.
Do you work on sites you didn't build?
Almost always — that's most of my work. I take over WordPress sites built by other agencies, freelancers, or in-house teams every week.
How fast do you respond to emergencies?
Routine inquiries get a written reply within one business day. New (non-client) emergencies are picked up the same day where possible. Existing Premium-plan clients have a 30-minute response SLA written into their agreement.
Are maintenance plans month-to-month?
Yes. No annual lock-in, cancel any month. If I'm not earning the retainer, you should be able to leave without a fight.
Do you support WooCommerce and headless WP?
Yes. WooCommerce is a regular part of the work. Headless / decoupled WordPress (Next.js, Astro, etc.) is supported under the Custom plan.
